Meet The Author Nick Vujicic

• Birth and Family

Nicholas James Vujicic actually known as Nick Vujicic was born in Melbourne, Australia, on the 4 of December, 1982. He is the eldest child in his family and his two siblings are Michelle and Aaron. The name of his parents are Dushka and Boris. As you may already know, Nick Vujicic was born without all four limbs. All he has is a small foot with tow toes, which he used for performing his daily living like using computers, writing, etc.

• Childhood

Nick’s parents was shocked when he was born without all four limbs. And as child, Nick struggled emotionally, mentally and physically as well. When he was 8year old, he began to be depressed as he could see a bright future for him. At the age of 10 he decided to commit suicide by drowning himself in the bathtub. After a couple of trying, he realized that he didn’t want to leave his family.

Years later, he was elected for captain in a school in Queensland, where he also started to work with the student council, helping with fund-raising events for local charities. At the age of thirteen he injured his small foot, and that helped him realize that he needed to be thankful for what he had and less focused on what he didn’t. His parents decide to move to the USA when he was 14 years old.

At the age of 17, his high school attendant encouraged him to start speaking about his faith and overcoming adversity.

• Schooling

In Queensland Nick Vujicic attend the Macgregor State School. There he was elected as the grade 7 captain of the school and helped also the student council in fund-raising for the local charities. Nick granted a degree in the Griffith University and at the age of 21 in 2003 he did a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Planning and Accounting.

• Future

Nick Vujicic is today 32 years old and lives in Los Angeles with his wife Kanae Vujicic and young son Kiyoshi Vuijcic. He is famous and internationally successful for his inspirational speeches. Nick is full with wisdom, faith and humour. He knows how to surf, dive, skateboard and much more. Hes mission is to encourage people to overcome adversity with faith, love, hope and encourage them to pursue their dreams.

Nick Vuijick has traveled all around the world, visiting places and talking about his life. With that has been getting to encourage young people to overcome their own hardship and challenges and find themselves and pathways to live amazing lives.
