The Folding mechanism is a great way for us parents to pick up the scooters and carry it when they are out in the park or somewhere else. When they are all folded they are so easy to carry. For example on our family picnic the kids got so tired after we had a couple laps around the park the got tired and I folded them back and carried them without any problem.
A lighter scooter is more suitable for younger kids but if your child is bigger then they will need to handle a heavier one. When they are lighter they are easier like I mention before, but when your kids are bigger well they will carry it themselves. The heavier the scooter will give your more maximum weight capacity. To have the best comfort and safety choose a handlebar that is on the same level as the waist-high of your child. When they are riding their scooters, if the handlebar is too high there is no control of the scooter, or if it is too low they will feel uncomfortable and there will be back pain! Just look at the raccoon, he picked the wrong one!
