The logo, name, and image of this company can be easily recognised by anyone that has ever watched a television set. This is how powerful and famous the company is. The Forbes list once rated Walt Disney as one the companies with the biggest brand value and largest media revenue. It is an understatement to say that Disney is a famous and well-accepted phenomenon.

The company was founded in 1923 by the pair of Walt and Roy Disney in Los Angeles, California, as a media and family entertainment company. It is currently the largest media corporation worldwide with diversified investments such as parks, resorts, interactive media, and consumer products. It has also leveraged on its popularity to create media networks via its affiliates and subsidiaries. It is no wonder Forbes rated it number 13 on its “The World’s Most Powerful Brands” after the brand was valued at $19 billion.

The Disney Media Networks is one of the major sources of revenue for the company and it comprises of ESPN Inc and the Disney/ABC Television Group comprising of a wide range of cable, publishing, and digital business.

It also has its investments in parks and resorts with Disneyland being the largest which also couples as the world’s biggest travel and leisure experiences for families all over the world. Disney Parks are available across the globe with different facilities for the pleasure of the whole family.

The Walt Disney Studios is probably the part of the brand that made the brand itself. The completion of the studio in 1926 was welcomed with a name change from Disney Brothers Studio to the Walt Disney Studio. This part of the empire is known for producing films, music, and stage plays to consumers all around the world.

It is only normal for a brand with such popularity to have products that are sold through a franchise. The merchandise of the Disney brand come in stationery, magazines, arts, toys, home décor, and even foods that captures not just the young minds but even having the adults loving every bit of it.

The Disney Interactive is the latest member of the family that was founded in 2008 for the entertainment of the families worldwide. It is available on digital media platforms, the social networking sites, games on console and mobile, and online virtual worlds.

If there is any complete company that has been able to touch the lives of millions and billions of people across the world, it is Walt Disney.
