Hyacinthus is part of the family Asparagaceae. It grows in the Mediterranean, Turkey, Israel and Turkmenistan. They can be planted in the fall and born in spring. There are blue, white ,red , violet, yellow and pink hyacinth. About the creation of this flower exist a story , actually a Greek myth which tells that Hyacinthus once was a beautiful youth  in love in the god Apollo. This caused jealousy in Zephyrus because he was also in love with Hyacinth. One day Hyancinthus died because of  Zephyrus’ jealousy, and Apollo made a flower from her spilled blood-the hyacinth.

Rhododendron flower was discovered in the 16th century by the botanist Charles L’escluse. Now Rhododendron is the state flower of  Sikkim in India. This flower is very toxic, also the honey made from it cannot be consumed. Grows up to 10-100 cm tall. The leaves can range from 1-2 cm to 50 cm, and they can be evergreen or deciduous. You can find Rhododendron  everywhere  in the world except in South America and Africa. The exploration in America was caused by the partnership between Peter Collinson and the botanist John Bartram. Rhododendron species are used as food for the larvae.

Lily of the Valley is a national flower of Finland. This flower is also known as Our Lady’s tears, because of the Christian legend created from Eve’s tears when she was taken away with Adam from the Garden of Eden.  Also you can hear the name ‘’Mary’s tears’’ from the  Christian  legend that is sprang from the weeping of the virgin Mary during the crucifixion of  Jesus. Lily of the Valley is native throughout the cool temperate Northern Hemisphere in Asia, Europe and in Appalachian Mountains in the United States. They are white petals, bell-shaped, 5-10 mm diameter, flowering is in late spring.

I bet that many people agree that this is the most attractive flower that exists in the world. Because its second name is Hooker Lips or Hot lips plant. It looks like real kissable lips. I have put it in first place because it marks ‘’love’’ , and love and flowers, it’s just a perfect combination. The flower is really small, approximately 1 inch in size. Bleeding heart is also very poisonous flower and you must be careful with it. It can be found in pink and red color, in Asia, Siberia and South Japan. It grows in cool, moist conditions. Some  types of  bleeding heart bloom in spring and others in summer and fall.
