Pipe Clamp Fittings Explained

If you didn’t know hoses are all around us. However, one of the most unnoticed part are the pipe clamp fittings. They are found in the radiator, the steering system, the bears simply everywhere. The most used place for hoses and pipe clamp fittings is the transfer of bore water that is later used in some industries.

So, hoses transfer fluid from one point to another. Additionally, they connect two different parts. For example, if we have a lower hose on the radiators, it emits cold from the bottom and also connects the heater to the radiator tube. To make things easier, scientists invented the pipe clamp fittings, the essential part that hold all the system intact.

The most used pipe clamp fittings are the industrial ones. In industries there is a constant transfer of fluids in the hoses, and the take a lot of pressure. For that reason, the safest way to make sure that the hose does its job is the pipe clamps. They have a simple role, yet so crucial. There are two types of pipe clamp fitting: spring and banded type. The banded one is usually used in a wide range of applications, however, the most common place they are used are tight places. The materials used to made these clamps are grooved band of metal that is connected with screws and catch. On each end there are catch and screws, so they can be tighten in both directions.

A spring type pipe clam fitting works in a different way. They are built from durable flexible metal that can withstand high pressure. Also, this clamp is constructed from two tabs that are connected to each other while they are being produced and each one has a big metal circle at the ends. When you apply force and squeeze them, they move towards each other and open another clamp. This way it is easier for the user to install additional hose or remove a damaged one. While calculating the pressure on the pump, you should pay attention to the spring that is closed and holds the hose tightly, so you won’t need extra screws if you loose one by accident.

Both types of these pipe clamp fitting can be used in different situations in many industries or in your back yard. Additionally, they have a wide usage in your home by holding radiator hoses, power hoses and much more. If you do not know how to install them, ask help from a professional or by the retailer, so you avoid accident that can be very costly.
